A Mission to Raise the Standard of Care for Older Adults
The West Health Accelerator at Mass General Brigham (MGB) is a multi-year initiative designed to transform healthcare for older adults across the region and throughout the nation. Through a powerful combination of resources, technology, expertise, and experience, Mass General Brigham and the West Health Institute will raise the standard of care for older adults through the major expansion of a groundbreaking geriatric care model that can be readily implemented in a range of healthcare settings throughout the country.

West Health at the intersection of healthcare and aging
West Health stands at the intersection of healthcare and aging. Its three nonprofits: the Gary and Mary West Foundation, West Health Institute, and West Health Policy Center work together to fuel new and innovative programs, practices, and policies that ensure successful aging and affordable healthcare for all Americans. Since 2006, West Health has funded and helped shape more than $500 million in initiatives focused on successful aging.
The West Health Accelerator at Mass General Brigham, established in 2024, will expedite the development of high-quality, innovative and ready-to-implement healthcare programs that effectively and holistically meet the needs of America’s fast-growing senior population.
